The Shining Movie Trailer
Within our trailer we
could use mise-en-
scene/setting to
indicate the narrative
of our film.




The whole trailer is shown

  to use similar music to create suspense and fear within our
  trailer
• The music starts of at a slow tempo, however later starts to
  build up through the emergence of new instruments.
• The music rhythm reflects the sound of a clock ticking, which
  indicates waiting. This links closely to the mise-en-scene of the
  room, as chairs and sofa’s within a hotel lobby also depicts
  waiting.
• As the trailer develops the tempo becomes faster and
  develops into a playful sound which again could reflect the
  characters mental state of mind. For example, the main
  character who develops insanity.
