comprehensive evaluation of the process

• Functional roles carrying out each activity
(who does what)
• Input / output that is required
• Checking
• When, by whom, how much time, why
• Approval points / Authority level needed to take decision
• e.g. sign document etc.
• Interface traffic and hand offs
