About our presenters… Kathleen Cooper is Senior Researcher with the Canadian Environmental Law Association (CELA). She has directed law reform campaigns on the subjects of toxic substances, pesticides, land use planning and hazards in consumer products and also provides casework support on environmental litigation files. She has conducted extensive research into the effects of environmental contaminants on fetal and child health and has also written extensively on the subject of environmental policy and children’s health.

She has practised public interest environmental law, in private practice since 1985 and at CELA since 1998. Theresa sits on the advisory board of the McMaster Institute for Environmental Health, the board of directors of the Environmental Health Institute of Canada as well as on the board of FreshWater Future .
