• The format of a teaser trailer is a slow beginning
with small parts of information about the film or
series that is being advertised without giving too
much information away. There would then be a
climax within the trailer in which a main
character is being shown or a minor plot point
may be revealed.
3. Content
• The content of a teaser trailer should not give
much away about the main plot of the story,
however it can introduce the theme and the
genre of the film and if possible it can give the
main characters some screen time, but that is
optional as some don’t reveal the main
characters at all.
4. Purpose
• The purpose of a teaser trailer is to give an
audience an idea of what the finished product
will be without giving them key information. It
also acts as a way to create interest in the
product so that it gets people talking about it
which could make people who haven’t seen it
want to watch the trailer. It is a very effective
way to introduce a product to the general public.
