Q4:WHO WOULD BE THE
AUDIENCE FOR YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT?

◦ The gender of my audience is both
male and female this conforms to RNB
audience as this is the usual target
audience.
Some magazine such as XXL do target their
magazine at the male gender more.
However, I have aimed my magazine at both
genders equally and so in way I have
challenged the terms and conventions of real
life RNB magazines.
◦ Ethnicity of my audience is a mix although RNB magazines
mostly aim it at black people. I got this information from a
task I submitted before where I had to analyse a press pack
and from that I was able to figure out who my audience
would be. By doing this I have tried to challenge terms and
conventions of real life RNB as I’ve aimed it at a more
multicultural audience magazines. The reason why black
people are associated with RNB magazines which I am
braking as many other ethnicities are in to the genre of RNB
as much as black people and so I want to make them feel
like the magazine is aimed at them too.
I personally believe that the same amount of
people from different ethnicities enjoy RNB
music and so I wish to make my magazine
multicultural and therefore available for
everyone. This is shown by all the different
models I have used.
◦ My audience have hobbies, such as
going out socialising, being up to date
with the latest gossip and trends. And
may shop at designer shops for
example, Gucci, louboutins etc.
The age group for my audience would be
16-30 the reason why I have such a big
age gap is because many artist are
around about 30 and so if they enjoy
making RNB music at that age then I
believe people age that age might also
be interested.
