2. PRODUCERS
Producers are organisms that produce organic
compounds from inorganic compounds. These are
also a type of autotroph. Producers are living things
that can make their own food using air, light, soil, and
water.
An autotroph is an organism that makes its own food
from inorganic substances. It is then eaten by a
consumer if it is a plant for example.
3. EXAMPLE
Plants use a process called photosynthesis to make
food.Only them can produce their own food.
So they are a very good exmple of producers because
they make their own food using sunlight, air, nutrients
and water.

5. CONSUMERS
A consumer is the organisms that obtain nutrients
from other organisms. This is also heterotroph.
They are organisms that are not able to make their
own food so they get already done.
Consumers are the next link in a food chain.
A heterotroph is an organism that cannot
synthesize their own food and must obtian it ready
made .

CONSUMERS/HETEROTROPHS
There are three levels of consumers.(but not all the
animals are clasified obligatory in them)
It all depends on what the animals eat and how
they obtain the food they need. Heterotrophs
include herbivores, carnivores, omnivores.
Herbivores or Primary Consumers:They are
animals that feed only on plants.Eg:Rabbits, cattle,
horses, sheep and deer .

-Carnivores or Secondary Consumers:They are
animals that feed on other animals.They eat the
primary consumers.
Some carnivores may be
- Predators, such as lions, hawks, and wolves who
attack and kill their prey and feed on their bodies.
-Scavengers, they feed on dead animals that they find.

There are also consumers called omnivores.
Omnivores can either be secondary or tertiary
consumers
-Omnivores are living beings that feed on both
plants and animals.Eg:HUman and bears.

12. DECOMPOSERS
A decomposer is an organism of decay. These are
also known as saprobes. They break down the
remaines of dead animals and plants, releasing the
substances that can be used by other members of the
ecosystem.
Decomposers are an essential component of any
ecosystem. Their main role is to recycle nutrients in
dead organisms and their wastes.Eg:bacteria and
fungi.
