Chen Yao Zhi was good at archery. He often showed off his skills because he wanted people to
see his excellent shots. He practiced archery in the garden near a big temple.
One day, while he was about to hit an arrow to the target board, an old man approached him.
He told Chen Yao Zhi that his skills were not something special. Chen Yao Zhi was really angry.
Quietly, the old man put a copper coin on the mouth of a bottle. Then he poured oil without a drop of it
touched the coin.
Chen Yao Zhi was amazed at the old man’s refined skill. He apologized to him and agreed
with the old man’s advice that what he did was common. It is a skill that can be achieved if you
practiced it a thousand times. From that day onwards, Chen Yao Zhi became humble. He practiced
