The primary goals of this project were to address public safety concerns by stabilizing an eroding channel bank which was damaging a resident’s backyard. The channel bed was restored by using a natural stream design riffle section. The disturbed areas of the site were restored with turf grass and a native seed mix.

Description:
The Bentwood Court Bank Stabilization was substantially completed on August 23, 2019. The project
consisted of stabilizing a severely eroded channel bank using stacked stone. The goals of the project
were to address public safety concerns, stabilize an area of failing channel and reduce sediment
transport downstream.
