4. Select Research Participants
• User type: Geographical
– People from Istanbul wont be as foreigner as
people coming from different cities. Treating those
different groups in different ways could end up
beneficially.
– Find out if people coming from outside İstanbul
are having more difficulties.

• User type: Different Backgrounds
– The school they come from affect the orientation
therefore grouping people from similar
backgrounds would make the orientation easier.
– See if people from similar backgrounds (such as
students of foreign schools of İstanbul) are having
less trouble in orientation.

– Some students could be more confused through
the registration process. There could be an
information desk so that much confused
newcomers can use when they need help.
– Find newcomers that were too confused during
registration and ask them if this could help them.

– Some students give more attention to the process
then others. Therefore these type of students
know more about the process. Some don’t.
– Find newcomers that called the school or visited
the webpage before coming to the registration.
And compare them to the ones that have not.

the Registration Process?
• Go Broad: Explain me a different process
which could be more beneficial than the
recent one.
• Probe Deep: Tell me a story from your
experience in the registration process in which
you felt emotional
(happy, stressed, depressed, relaxed, etc.)
