2. Philippines The Spanish once invaded the Philippines and influenced their religious views towards Christianity Pat has lived in the Philippines all her life, so most of the people she met have also been Christian
3. Family Ever since she can remember, the previous generations of her family have been very religious Her parents were raised in a religious household As a child, she was also raised in a religious household alongside her brother and sister
4. School When Pat was young, she went to a Jesuit school which had religion class and church every morning. There was a church in their school so they had to go before classes started, mostly because it was looked down upon, not to go
5. Friends All of Pat’s childhood friends were either Filipino or students from her school, so more or less 100% of them were Christian.
6. Peers As a kid, Pat had a phase where she looked for approval from other people, mostly older teens who didn’t seem to think that religion was of much importance This was the start of where Pat’s religious point of view changed
7. Family Her dad’s work started being more involved with international relations, so her dad’s religious point of view became more flexible towards other religions Her family didn’t need to go to church as often as they did before
8. School Pat moved to ISM in 5th grade and this made her become exposed to people of other cultures and religions This made her understand more about other religions
9. Friends Pat lost touch with most of her friends from her previous school and made new friends that weren’t all Christians She started to lose interest in religion because the more time she spent with her friends, the less time she spent on religion
