Mic was born into a very religious family and attended private Catholic school for preschool through 2nd grade, where she sang religious songs and prayed daily. From 3rd through 5th grade she attended a non-religious international school but still regularly attended church. In 6th through 10th grade she returned to the international school but took optional religious studies and became more involved in church activities. She continued regularly attending church through high school and became friends with others who were deeply religious. Overall, Mic's upbringing and school experiences exposed her to religion from a young age and she remains a theist.
