The Internet revolution and continuous development are representing a radical in the way of
understanding social relations, to expand the social and allow access to information, people and
ideas of the most varied nature.
Internet is a global network of computers, decentralized, which allows multiple computers to
connect to each other by a number of communication protocols by means of copper cables,
fiber optic, wireless and other means.
This global network of computers provides a varied range of services:
• Browsing web pages (WWW, World Wide Web) a system of linked documents or files that can
be viewed through a browser.
• E-mail (e-mail) that allows sending messages between users.
• Newsgroups (news), forums, instant messaging (chat , etc.)., which are forums for discussion
and exchange of experiences.
• Transfer files quickly via FTP (file transfer protocol) and file sharing on P2P networks calls
(peer to peer).
• Communication via voice (voice over IP, VoIP) or video conferencing (Skype).
• Radio, television and newspapers.
• Other: purchases of all types, access to bank accounts, conducting distance courses, job
placement, enrollment in colleges and universities , etc.
