S Chris Paul was born on May 6, 1985 in Winston-Salem,
North Carolina where he excelled in basketball.
S His two greatest athletes were Magic Johnson and
Michael Jordan but his hero was his grandfather who was
robbed and beaten to death at the age of 61.
S The next basketball game he played in he scored 61
points in honor of his grandfather.
3. Basketball Career
S In 2005 Chris Paul was selected 4th in the NBA Draft.
S In his first year he was selected as the Rookie of the Year
and he led the New Orleans Hornets to a 38-44
record,which was much better than the year before. He
also had two triple doubles.
S Chris Paul currently averages 26.3 PPG and an average

4. Community Service
S Chris Paul has his own organization with Smithfield
Foods in which he fed a 1,000 families.
S Chris Paul also has his own foundation called the CP3
foundation where he has raised 250,000 since 2006.
S In September he received the NBA Assist award for his
outstanding service to the community.
