RFID in UCD Library and tagging 30,000 items

In summer 2008 UCD Library transferred our Short Loan (48 hour) collection to RFID
technology. Approximately 30,000 books were tagged over a 3 week period. Two RFID self
service machines were initiated and the first 3M C-Series self-return unit in Europe was
installed.
