Teaching Portfolios encourage staff to reflect on their teaching and learning and to
showcase their accomplishments. An electronic portfolio gives life to the Teaching
Portfolio by making it dynamic, engaging, and context relevant.
Teaching Portfolio Template:
• Teaching philosophy
• Teaching record
• Leadership and innovations in teaching and
learning
• Scholarly teaching practice
• Teaching effectiveness
• Scholarship of teaching and learning
(including recognition and awards)
• Professional development
• Reflection
The Teaching Portfolio template is a suggested
structure, supported by a document that explains
Teaching Portfolios in more detail drawing upon
best practice as described in the literature.
