This document compares the Facebook pages and engagement of Manchester United and FC Barcelona. It finds that as of May 25, 2011, Barcelona had slightly more Facebook fans than Manchester United, with over 15 million compared to over 14 million. It also analyzes post frequencies, types, engagement, and use of multimedia between April and May 2011. Barcelona's posts received slightly higher engagement and percentages of likes and comments than Manchester United's posts. Both clubs effectively used Facebook features to network and promote their players.
