If you have left something on board the Cabin
Crew will hand it to the Ground Crew and
they will hand it onto our Baggage Services
team. All lost property not collected within 24
hours is handed to the airports Lost Property
office.

7. You are travelling to Ireland in July. Will you
have to pay for roaming when you make a
phone call to Spain?
No, because the EU announced in October
last year that it will ban these charges from
June 2017.

9. You are flying to Edinburgh and unfortunately
your flight is delayed for 2 hours. Can you
claim any monetary compensation?
No. If your flight has been delayed more than
2 hours, there are two options available for
you to choose from. You can either apply for
a refund or change your delayed flight for
free.

11. EasyJet has lost your luggage. What can you
do?
In the unfortunate event that they are unable
to find your luggage after 21 days you’ll be
able to make a claim for
compensation online. The amount payable
will depend on the contents of your bag and
any receipts you have as proof of purchase.

13. You have missed your flight because the
airport transfer has got into a traffic jam.
Unfortunately, you didn’t get any missed
flight insurance. What can you do?
You will have to get another ticket at the
current price. Some companies may offer a
‘rescue fee’. For example, Ryanair has a £79
missed departure fee that allows you to board
another plane.
14. Even if you had travel insurance, and you
missed your flight because you got lost
getting to the airport; your costs wouldn’t be
covered.
However, most passengers don’t know they
can ask the airline for a refund of the
passenger-bound taxes they paid; as airline
companies don’t have to pay those taxes to
the airport.

16. You were flying with EasyJet and your luggage
has got externally damaged. What can you do?
If your bag is damaged you need to complete a
Damage Report (PIR) at our Baggage Services
desk in the Arrivals hall. Unfortunately, we
cannot be responsible for damage that’s external
or superficial. You can also report damage to
your bags within seven days of your arrival by
emailing: admin@damagedluggage.com

18. You are allergic to peanuts and you are flying
to Glasgow with Easyjet, which sells peanuts
on board. What can you do?
Peanuts are sold on board but sale can be
suspended if the cabin crew are informed in
advance. An announcement can be made to
request that other passengers do not eat nuts
but the airline cannot guarantee that they will
comply.

20. You are flying with Norwegian to Malta.
Unfortunately, you cannot travel and you
would like your brother to fly instead of you.
Can you change your booking? Is the
company going to charge something?
You can change the date and time, the
destination and the name of the ticket holder up
to 30 minutes before scheduled departure for
most destinations online (occasionally you'll need
to phone our Contact Centre to change a
booking).
