Blake Loftus embarked on an exploratory tour of various virtual worlds within SecondLife, beginning their journey at the ESC Coffee Shop where they had previously interacted with other avatars. They visited Déjà Vu Farmville City, a winter wonderland with slowly loading images and flying reindeer. At Help Island, Blake found little help but avatars discussing dinner plans. They also viewed the Postgrad Medical & Dental Education virtual campus as an example for online education. Though the Mievile Poe world had lovely architecture and music, no other avatars were present. Blake's tour concluded at the Pi fountain in the Exploratorium, feeling a sense of accomplishment and inspiration from their virtual travels.

I started my journey through SL

the only location I was able to
communicate with other avatars from the
course!

I stuck around long enough in this winter
wonderland to see a sled drawn by flying
reindeer who morphed in and out of
focus…

Here I found little help, but some very
interesting avatars discussing what to
make for dinner.

6. POSTGRAD MEDICAL &DENTAL EDUCATION
(PGMD)
I did not play doctor, but I found this destination to be a great a model for education.

8. MIEVILLE POE
This virtual world had lovely architecture and music, but alas, was void of other
avatars.

More flying through New Orleans

Took ages to load, but would be a place to return to in attempts to enjoy
more.

I concluded my first field trip around
