3. PURPOSE
To create a world where children who are experiencing
grief are supported to reach their full potential.
5. OUR WHY
1-in-20 children in Australia will
experience the death of a parent before they
turn 18-years old.
To put this into perspective, there is most
likely a child grieving the loss of a parent in
every class in every Australian school.
In addition to this, children also experience
sibling and legal guardian loss.
Grieving children who have experienced the
death of someone they love can feel
isolated and alone.

to face, feel and deal
with their grief.
8. THERE IS HOPE...
"As a 14-year-old kid who had lost a parent,
she just wanted someone else to 'get' her. And
the only person who really can is another 14-
year-old kid who has also lost their parent.
Camp truly was magic."

12. THE BIG PICTURE...
We teach 7-17-year-old’s strategies to live
healthily with their grief.
To ensure this, we measure the impact of
what they learn at Camp.
14. At Feel the Magic, we support the mental health of
families left behind, by providing free
camps, resources and strategies to prepare their kids
for living with grief.
Over the past 8 years our programs have expanded to
include a range of evidence-driven face-to-face and virtual
Camps as well as resources that focus on reducing the
associated mental health impacts through:
« Teaching kids practical tools for managing their grief in
healthy ways
« Increasing their confidence to be able to manage the
emotions that come grief
« Connecting grieving families to a community of people
who understand what they're going through
« Giving kids and their guardians a shared language for
talking about and understanding grief
We help kids learn how to face, feel and deal
with their grief.

A lot of kids are uneasy
about talking about their
grief. Virtual camps are a
good starting point,
because they feel safe at
home and best of all,
parents can be there
right beside them, to

OUR PROGRAMS
16. "Not a single one of us would choose the
heartache that grief brings, but surround yourself
with a family of people who "get it" on so many
levels has been a blessing...
That is what Camp Magic has given us... a family."
