importance of an education. It's important to me to gain all the knowledge I can to be a

because the number of college students doubled from 1957 to 1967, and Brown decided in order

It was not until I had my son that I realized just how important it is to have a college education.
Despite working more than forty hours a week at a daycare, I was struggling to pay bills and
provide for my family. Pawning and selling valuables to make sure we had enough food to eat for
the week was a regular occurrence and knowing which days of the month the nearest food bank
was open became a regular calendar event. Opportunities outside the daycare were limited due to
qualification requirements and jobs that did not require a degree did not pay enough to allow
