According to the existing statistics, the greatest proportion of the world's population does not smoke
tobacco. As noted in the United States of America, only one out of four adults smoke. Tobacco
product use can be grouped as one of the social problems that has brought detrimental health
concerns on the long time. It has also been established that that most people start smoking at the age

Use of tobacco has been associated with the cause of diseases that ultimately cause deaths. About
1,200 tobacco smokers die every month from smoking. This translates to about 1,4389,00 suffering

Big tobacco is losing in a war for the public to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and The Truth

Should Tobacco Be Banned by the Government?
According to the existing statistics, the greatest proportion of the world's population does not smoke
tobacco. As noted in the United States of America, only one out of four adults smoke. Tobacco
product use can be grouped as one of the social problems that has brought detrimental social
problems from all walks of life It has also been established that that most people start smoking at the
age between 12 and 14 (Eaton, 2003). Despite being of great economic importance, tobacco has
brought about much more harm than good. In fact, those who smoke have their life span shortened

It affects the health of the human beings. The effects that tobacco smoking has on the social morals
of the youths cannot be ignored. Considering the effects of tobacco, it should be surely be banned. It
is a pity that tobacco does not even spare the non–smokers. Despite having all these negative effects,
tobacco is of great economic importance as it creates employment for the citizens. However, the
fact that tobacco is of great importance to the growth of the economy cannot be used to justify
tobacco smoking. The cost of treating cancers and other tobacco linked diseases is very high.
Additionally, the economy of a country should not be allowed to grow at the expense of other
people's life. As such, all the governments of the world should make efforts to ban tobacco smoking.

Thesis Statement On Smoking
Smoking cigarettes can have such an harmful effect on the individuals who abuse it and the people
who are in around them. A cigarette abuser is likely to become addicted to the drug resulting the
person to face with lung cancer. There are many close people in my life who are trying their hardest
to quit this specific addiction. Making it ridiculously easy for me to identify and choose the topic in
which I chose. Although, before I chose my original topic I had to focus directly on "tools" and
strategies that could possibly help individuals quit smoking. Instead of my initial topic thesis
statement which was "Smoking cigarettes can be prevented and there are various tools to help quit
smoking." My final thesis statement for the this specific final project is now "Smoking can lead to
various diseases although a nicotine patch, nasal spray, and vaporizers are the best tools to help quit
smoking."
My plan was to go in depth in my research and find valuable information relating to my topic. In
the beginning, I was extremely confident in my abilities to learn which tools will help the best to
quit smoking and had no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't be able to get it all figured out. I've
investigated several different sources. Some of the sources I checked out fit perfectly with my
topic and a couple other sources we're awfully helpless during my research. After lots of tough
thinking about what source I'm going to choose I decided to pick sources that have the most scholarly
