There was a storm last night and the
electricity was out. Miss Cruela, the English
teacher, was at her house alone …well, not
completely alone. There was someone else
there, too.
This morning, she was at her house, alone and

dead.
The question is: Who Was the murderer?
Now, everyone is a suspect. Detective Sainis is
interrogating the suspects. Will he find the murderer?

Get into 5 groups. Your teacher will give each
team a card. Take roles and answer the detective’s
questions. Can you find out who murdered Miss
Cruela, the nice, sweet English teacher?

You are Detective Sainis. Ask the suspects questions to find the murderer. Ask:
 Where/ be / you at the time of the murder?
 What / you / do?
 Who / be / with?
 What / you / wear?
 What / your friend / do?
 What / you / talk about?
 What time / you / go to bed?
You are Peter, her favourite student. She gave you too much homework but you
always did what she wanted.

You are Mr. Striglos, the headteacher. Miss Cruela was in love with you but you
were married and you didn’t like her at all.

You are Miss Joanna, the PE teacher. You were good friends but you were jealous of
her because she had a lot of money and travelled around the world.

You are Cornelia, her neighbor. She was always polite to you but she made too much
noise playing the violin. And she was really bad at it.

YOU ARE THE MURDERER!

YOU ARE NOT THE MURDERER!

YOU ARE NOT THE MURDERER!
