The presenters in the studio followed the basic codes and conventions of

reporter and has to come across as a smart, formal, trustworthy person
to make the audience believe the report.

This TV news broadcast contains a field reporter live on the
scene. Field reporters are used to add credibility and interest to
the news broadcast. The studio presenter cuts away to the field
reporter where more information is given. Cut aways are used to
keep the report interesting with a range of camera angles and
shots.

By using a range of shots, interest is added to the news report.

Graphics
The use of graphics is usually used to help back up points with
visual demonstrations, often graphs, numbers and figures. It also
helps to add interest and a variation of shots, for example this
shot has a backdrop of space.

Live On The Scene
Many presenters cut away to another presenter who has futher
information. This is sometimes live. Live news reports help to add
believability and credibility to the viewers. The live reporter on the
scene often has further more in depth information.
