based on a classic InfoSet and in that way expose operational data via a common interface
 Crystal Reports for Enterprise is able to leverage the connection towards Universes , SAP HANA , Sybase IQ, and the Transient

Self Service Reporting
 Self Service reporting capabilities with Web Intelligence are enabled by leveraging the Transient Provider technology for SAP ERP

SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence How to navigate the material How to start using the material ?  Step 1: First match your existing architecture and business application landscape to one of the available customer scenarios – Example 1 : Customer is using SAP ERP without a data warehouse solution (= Landscape 2) – Example 2 : Customer is using SAP ERP & non-SAP business applications without a data warehouse solution (= Landscape 3)  Step 2: “Connecting to your corporate data” – This section outlines all possible options on how you can leverage the SAP BusinessObjects BI products as part of your landscape type  Step 3: “BI Growth Scenarios” – This section will show you can start with a very simple BI landscape as part of your overall system landscape and what the benefits are and how you can grow your BI landscape incrementally by making sure your investment is safe  Step 4: “Summary” – As part of the summary you will see an overall recommendation and summary of the benefits

System Landscape Type 4: SAP ERP & non-SAP application with non-SAP DWH Data Connectivity Operational Reporting  Direct connectivity towards SAP ERP and non-SAP based business applications can be established with Crystal Reports 2011  Starting with SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 05 (Innovations 2010) the Transient Provider allows to leverage a BEx query based on a classic InfoSet and in that way expose operational data via a common interface  Crystal Reports for Enterprise is able to leverage the connection towards Universes , SAP HANA , Sybase IQ, and the Transient Provider Self Service Reporting  Self Service reporting capabilities with Web Intelligence are enabled by leveraging the Transient Provider technology for SAP ERP and the semantic layer in combination with the custom data warehouse, SAP HANA, or Sybase IQ Data Visualization  SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards can leverage the connection towards Universes, Live Office, and BI Web Services to leverage data from the operational systems, custom data warehouse, Sybase IQ , and SAP HANA Analysis  SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office is able to leverage SAP HANA’s analytical capabilities and provide users these capabilities inside Microsoft Office  In addition SAP BusinessObjects Analysis Suite is able to leverage the Transient Provider technology for SAP ERP and allow for analytical reporting on top of transactional data Search and Exploration  SAP BusinessObjects Explorer is able to leverage the Universe connection and leverage data from the custom data warehouse, and Sybase IQ, as well as establish a direct connection to SAP HANA Landscape Type 1 Landscape Type 2 Landscape Type 3 Landscape Type 4 Landscape Type 5 Landscape Type 6
