Conference: Research Evaluation for the Social Sciences and the Humanities, Rennes 4-6 June 2015 http://www.ressh.eu --- The purpose of my presentation is to show what sorts of problems occurred in the parametric evaluation in Poland. The most important conclusion of the presentation is that such an evaluation of publications based only on bibliometric indicators and formal conditions caused several crucial problems: (1) a devaluation of writing in Polish, (2) the assessment of predatory journals, and (3) an underestimation of the Humanities and Social Sciences publications in relation to the other group of the scientific units. I will discuss what assumptions of the parametric evaluation brought about these problems.
