An IDEAL GAS is a gas that behaves according to the three assumptions of the Kinetic Molecular Theory & the gas laws. IDEAL GASES   Constant, random motion    Particles have insignificant volume   Collisions are perfectly elastic  Intermolecular forces & the “real” volume of particles will cause gases to deviate from ideal behavior.
