Evaluation Qu 6
1. EVALUATION QUESTION 6
What have I learnt about the
technologies from the process of
constructing this project?
2. TWITTER
Twitter was useful through the entire project due to the fact
we took advantage of this social platform to distribute our
film opening and to keep up to date with the world on recent
media events.
Twitter has allowed me to follow others as well as giving my
own personal opinion on recent events. From this I received
inspiration from leading companies such as the BFI – which
enabled me to gain more knowledge on the media world.
3. FACEBOOK
Facebook has helped
me with the process of
the product in two
different ways. It has
helped me distribute
the film and build
awareness from the
public, due to the fact
it is such a big social
platform.
Another way that
Facebook has helped
me is through the
instant communication
with team mates as
well as making our
planning more
efficient.
4. YOUTUBE
YouTube has been very useful throughout the whole of the
process of my product. It has allowed me to research into
numerous different videos so that it could influence the end
result of my film opening.
For example, the film opening ‘Delicatessen’ inspired me to
open the film with titles on culinary objects and be based on
food.
5. PREZI
During the project, I
used Prezi to present
numerous different
things.
Prezi allowed me to
present things in a
fast and effective
way due to the fact it
enables you to add
photos, YouTube
videos and
hyperlinks, therefore
letting the viewer
learn off a whole
range of different
platforms.
Prezi has been
useful to me, seeing
as it is fast and to the
point when it comes
to getting a message
across.
6. BLOGGER
Blogger is my platform on which I present all my
coursework from researching new ideas to show
what new media I have incorporated into my
project. You can quickly and easily see
ideas and paths you go down in order to make the
final piece.
This blogger was helpful in logging all the work we
accomplished in a diary format.
7. SLIDESHARE
Slideshare is an easy, fast and effective way in
which you can present your work accomplished.
From this, I used it to present my powerpoint in this
format to get my message across to the viewer.
In my opinion, Slideshare was useful, due to it
being flexible in what way you would like to publish
it.
8. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP
Adobe Photoshop was very useful when it came to
the distribution part of my project. From this, we
had to make our film posters, website and P&A
poster.
This was a vital tool, as it allowed me to edit
photographs at a professional standard.
9. ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS
Adobe after effects allowed me to produce my film
opening titles in a more interesting affect.
Adobe after effect was not easy to use but with the
help from other platforms it helped me to tackle
these problems.
It was useful in attracting and enticing my audience
further.
10. DIGITAL CAMERA
We used a Cannon 550D camera to do all our
filming which means it was a vital piece of
equipment for our film opening.
Using a HD camera gave our product a clear cut
finish, which was easily editable on Premiere Pro.
11. APPLE MAC DESKTOP
Throughout our entire project, the Apple Mac has
been an essential role.
It has allowed me to research, file away key
documents and most importantly, edit my film
‘Zest’. From this, it has been the most important
piece of technology due to the fact it has access to
a whole range of platforms.
