2. The best record label to use would be one like ‘Hellcat Records’. This label
specialises in ska, punk and hardcore genres, which suits the genre of Damaged.
This has featured bands such as Green Day, the Transplants, G.B.H, the Unseen,
the Distillers and Street Dogs.
As this record label works/ has worked with similar bands, they would effectively
distribute any product from Damaged to the target audience.

3. If I were to try to get Damaged signed to this record label, I
would have to create an effective pitch, which would include

4. The song ‘Graves’ by Damaged has conventional
content. It is highly politically/ socially driven. This song is
about the over- production of food, and how much society
wastes; millions of animals are slaughtered needlessly as
a result of this.

5. It would be impossible to create original content to convey the song’s message, as I
cannot use footage from other videos, as I must apply purely original content, and I do not
at all wish to, nor cannot legally film original content of animal cruelty taking place.
However, the music video shall still contain many conventions, making it typical footage.
For example, they shall be playing in a music venue to an audience and shall be playing
their instruments in another conventional location; an abandoned looking area with graffiti
in the background. This suits the genre, so it makes them more of a fitting band.
The artists are also typical of the genre. The artists would appeal to the target audience for
this reason.
This would suit the record label, as their target audience would find these exact things
appealing, meaning they would gain most success if they were to sign to a record label
such as Hellcat Records.
