2. Initial Work...
We imported the footage of our first filming
session in Camden onto the Macs recently.
The shots for our documentary which we had
filmed were trials and initial ideas which we
are still discussing whether to use for our final
task, or upload onto our blogs separately as
testers.
Most of the work we filmed, if used in our
main task, will be snippet sections to go in
between the interviews or our core
documentary information.
3. One of our first ideas was to simply walk around
the market area in Camden with the camera
running just to get a feel of the area.
We filmed around 15minutes of footage, and did
this around three times with different parts of the
area.
We edited down the footage by converting the
speed of the shot up to 900%. This reduced the
length of the clip from 15minutes to around 30
seconds.
We did this because the fast moving pace will
appeal to our younger audience and conveys the
excitement and buzz of life in Camden Town.

5. We then edited the colours of the footage so
that the saturation was increased to 175%.
We wanted the footage to look vibrant and
exciting however, subtle, so that it wasn’t
immediately obvious to the viewer and would
appear realistic.
This again links in with our younger target
audience and the further edits we made to the
footage.

7. Music...
We have been trying out
various songs and music
styles to go with our
initial ideas for our
documentary and this
opening section.
•We want something that is vibrant and sets the scene
perfectly for our documentary style, tying in with our location
•We intend to use either dubstep or drum and bass to go
with the fast paced and colourfully edited footage for our
documentary.
8. We started to rearrange all the footage we have
filmed, putting it into a separate project folder
which we can expand on when we film our next
sections.
We added transitions between some of the shots
so it would run smoother and separate footage
would blend professionally.
