RSVP is part of the Senior Corps

Foster Grandparents and
Senior Companions.

For more than 50 years, AARP has been serving
our members and society by creating positive
social change. AARP’s mission is to enhance the
quality of life for all as we age, leading positive
social change and delivering value to all people
50+ and to society though advocacy, service and
information.

AARP is compromised of distinct legal entities that
speak with one voice, all united by a common

8. AARP Foundation
AARP Foundation is AARP’s largest affiliated
charity. AARP’s Foundation works to win back
opportunity for struggling Americans 50+ by being
a force for change on the issues they face today:
housing, hunger, income and isolation. This is
done by coordinating responses to these issues
on all four fronts at once and support with vigorous
legal services.
9. How Do RSVP Volunteers Serve?
RSVP members serve in many different ways
such as:
• financial coaching
• assisting veterans with job readiness skills
• cleaning up the environment/beautification
projects
• providing support to food pantries
• tutoring English Language Learners
• providing administrative assistance and much
more!
10. Volunteer Intake Process
• Many times RSVP is able to fill a request within two
months or sooner
• Mutually beneficial matches to the volunteer and
agency
• RSVP takes pride in the detailed interview process
and the “match”
11. Requirements For Stations
Stations required to be a public agency, secular or
faith-based private non-profit organization, or
proprietary health care organization
Complete a RSVP Station Interest Form
RSVP staff will determine eligibility and arrange a
site visit
The relationship will be formalized with a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
