This document discusses factors that determine the success or failure of full coverage dental restorations in the esthetic zone. It outlines variables such as ceramic material options, tooth transition greater than 5mm, contact area classification and modification, localized tooth size discrepancy and repair, and abutment color material choice. The ideal contact point is described as long with less than 5mm distance and a study is summarized that papilla presence is nearly 100% when the contact point to bone crest distance is 5mm or less.
28. The results showed that: 1.When the measurement from the contact point to the crest of bone was 5 mm or less, the papilla was present almost 100% of the time. 2. When the distance was 6 mm, the papilla was present 56% of the time, 3. When the distance was 7 mm or more, the papilla was present 27% of the time or less.
