Project lead for IPCC 7.x upgrade and successfully demonstrating in the lab environment the upgrade process
using a copy of production ICM and IVR scripts.

2. Network Engineer, 2002 – 2006
AGF Mutual fund / UNISEN, Toronto
Designed, implemented and managed network access solutions for major banks, mutual fund and insurance
companies to use Fund Transfer Agency, back-office and other financial based systems.
Managed the corporate network security infrastructure, (Internet and customer based), consisting of Check
Point and Raptor Firewalls all managed centrally.
Planed and implemented the new network design for a huge customer move (hundred of users moving at a
time), at TD and FCP Towers in Toronto as well as some regional offices. This move involved planning and
implementing new network infrastructure, changing IP-addressing and firewall rules and dealing with vendors
to order new circuits.
Act as technical resource in projects, work closely with members of the project team and provide input in
design process, review network design and implementation plan.
Subscribe to vendor security alerts and prepare for timely patches to routers, switches, and firewall.
Research, identify, document and implement corporate security improvement with reference to ISO17799, e.g.

Created a Remote Access/ Client Server Lab Environment for customer solution, hence reducing the new
service turn around time and saving the company thousands of dollar in revenue.
Successfully designed and implemented 2 new Internet POPs for regional Nortel offices, providing faster
Internet service as well as local DMZ environment for evaluating new products and services for Nortel
customers. This task resulted in increase customer satisfaction and cut the product delivery time by half.
Reduced annual expenses by $400K, through careful planning and circuit elimination.
Recommended cost cutting measures by use of VPN, resulting in $15-$25k of saving per site.
Network Specialists, 1996 – 2000
Nortel Networks, Toronto
Reduced the long distant/ 1-800 yearly calling charges by $800K, through leading a team of Engineers in
implementing Nortel’s first Global VPN infrastructure for Teleworking users.
Worked with a team of engineers to role out Secure-ID for over 35,000 remote access users globally and were
able to achieve this goal one month ahead of schedule.
Implemented a VPDN setup for ISP dialup and broadband Internet access using L2TP as the tunneling protocol
and PPPoE as DSL access method.
Assisted Nortel's Sales force with RFPs and provided technical input and pricing to win new contracts.
Administered the Stealbealt Radius server as well as the Nortel/Shiva Remote Access servers for dialup and
ISDN based remote access/ home base users.
Met with potential suppliers to understand their offerings, initiated RFP process to select vendors as required,
negotiated contracts, and participated in monthly vendor meetings to review their performance and identify
potential issues or opportunities.

3. Client Server Architect, 1995 – 1996

Successfully completed 7 outsourcing contracts, by reviewing customer RFPs, doing the baseline study and
responding back to the sales force with the technical requirements and the implementation and ongoing costs.
Migrated 3 customers over to IBM’s network once at the post sales implementation, ensuring all the support
staff is properly trained and informed about the new customer environment and call tree.
Managed and maintained IBM/ISM’s Customer Network of over 150 Cisco Routers.
Evaluated and advised ISM sales force on new outsourcing contracts and as a result received very positive
feedback both from the customer and management.

Improved problem response time by implementing the Spectrum network management system.

Successfully completed the testing and verification of 3 major product lines from BNR and by doing so helped
to improve product quality and stability.
Studied new DMS telephone switch system designs and documented appropriate test cases for system
evaluation in the Nortel Brampton Lab environment.
Prepared system boards with actual hardware faults for testing in the lab with DMS running with simulated
traffic from the traffic generators.
