Samuel Morse, a New York University
professor worked on another version of
the telegraph in 1832 and developed a
set of sounds that corresponded to
particular letters of the alphabet called
Morse Code. 1843 he deviced a
telegraph system to Baltimore with the
help of the Congress.
Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gary
both independently designed devices
that will be able to transmit speech
electrically.
October 4, 1957, Sputnik I was
successfully launched by the Soviet
Union. It was known for being the
world's first artificial satellite. It
ushered in new
political, technological, military, and
scientific developments
Glen Culler and Burton Fried
investigated menthods for display of
mathematical functions using storage
displays to deal with the problem of
screen refresh over the net at the
University of California, Santa Barbara

2. March 26, 1976 marks the date when
Queen Elizabeth sent her first email as she
took part in a network technology
demonstration at the Royal Signals and
Radar Establishment. With the use of
ARPANET her message was transmitted.
The Internet Protocol Suite is the set of
procedures used to communicate with one
another over the internet and other networks.
TCP/IP specifies how data sent between
computers should be
formatted, addressed, transmitted, routed, and
received. The protocols are based on various
“layers"
Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP) is
an obsolete routing protocol that
was used for data exchange between
neighboring gateway hosts in
autonomous systems.
