Ariana Television Network has acquired exclusive rights to broadcast the Afghan National Football Team's 2018 World Cup qualifying matches against regional opponents from 2015 to 2016 in Iran. Ariana broadcast the team's opening qualifying match against Syria in June 2015 and will air future matches against Japan, Cambodia, and Singapore as the team aims to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

2. Ariana Television Network has acquired the
exclusive rights to broadcast the Afghan
National Football Team’s Asian Group second
round 2018 World Cup qualifying matches. The
matches will be played from summer 2015
through spring 2016 in Mashhad, Iran, against
the four top-rated teams in the region.
3. Ariana Television broadcast the qualifying
match against Syria in June, and it will show
the team's match against Japan in September,
against Cambodia in November, and against
Singapore in March 2016. More than 20 million
viewers watched the opening game on June
11.
