2. Andaman 7: gaining visibility on the market
I appreciated having a few minutes of quality attention from CIOs. The
questions from the moderator, were also very interesting and pushing CIOs to
open up more to startups. Thank you!

Andaman 7 Vincent Keunen, CEO & Founder www.andaman7.com Belgium
VIII Roadshow at HIMSS Liège (Belgium) [02 April 2019] . Thanks to the
eHealth Roadshow we were able to present our solution to a larger
audience. Above that, we enjoyed the discussions after each pitch as we
gained interesting insights in the work of other SMEs. The event was a great
opportunity to extend our network during the networking session. We had a
good time with interesting discussions with all participants.
Finally, we were featured on a marketplace of approved eHealth apps that
we met during the conference. This was great in order to increase our
visibility on the European Market .
One of the main challenges for us, was to gain enough visibility on the
market. Above that, we had to increase our network in order to not only be
in contact with actors we initially worked with. A validation on the market of
a new product is of significant importance for a quick market uptake. Thus,
we were looking for opportunities to receive feedback on our solution as
well as to gain special customer insights to align our product to the market
needs.

With Andaman7, patients can store all of their health data - privately and
securely - on their smartphone. It is then available to medical research.
Pharma benefit dramatically by reducing the cost of their clinical trials and
hospitals can improve the continuity of care. Patients are in full control and
decide if and who they share data with.

“There are many actors in the eHealth field, so working on receiving
more recognition remains one of our priority targets. Further, we have
realised, that it is difficult to distinguish between small apps from
comprehensive platforms – like Andaman7 – at first glance. Thus, we
have to better present our Unique Selling Proposition and advantages
compared to competitors.”.

4. Buddy Healthcare
Overall we as a company and I personally are very satisfied with the services
eHealth Hub has provided. The pitching competition during the eHealth
Roadshow was a great experience, and achieving the 1st place in that
competition made the experience even better.

IV Roadshow at @WHINN Odense (Denmark) [11 October 2017]. “The
Roadshow in Odense, Denmark helped us to get the first contacts and pitch
to potential customers and other important stakeholders. The pitch event
also helped me personally to develop my presentation skills as well as to
which parts of the pitch presentation to focus on.
Achieving the 1st place in the pitching competition pushed us forward and
motivated us to further develop our innovation. The eHealth Hub team did a
great job in organising this event, as important stakeholders were gathered
in one room and dedicated some of their time to support us.“
Our challenge before joining the eHealth Roadshow in Denmark was how to
get the first customer leads and foothold in the Danish healthcare market.
Furthermore, we wanted to get to know the right people, especially gaining
access to experts could help us in getting to know how the Danish
healthcare system works.

Buddy Healthcare is on a mission to transform care coordination in hospitals
and clinics by making care accessible and measurable for everyone,
everywhere and anytime. Our dedicated team works on the transformation
of pre- and post-surgical care. We want to solve the most significant
problems hospitals, clinics and patients are facing in surgeries: patient
adherence to treatment, late cancellations and no-shows, administrative

6. CliniShift: Understanding our Customers
The roadshow was a great opportunity to present our tech solution and get
valuable constructive feedback on how to improve on our delivery model for
the European market.

CliniShift Aimée Madden, Founder & CEO www.clinishift.com Ireland
VII eHealth Roadshow [Cascais, July 2018] “eHealth Hub facilitated
meetings with some key stakeholders in Hospitals from across the EU in one
venue. This provided an opportunity to assess the interest in a solution such
as CliniShift and evaluate what other challenges hospital managers are
facing that are different to the challenges that managers face in markets we
already have a presence in.
This also allowed us to gain insights into other potential competitors in these
EU countries and evaluate their product. This easies strategy and market
entry. We can now focus on those countries where there are real
opportunities.”
Connecting with busy hospital managers both from Ireland and the EU can
be a slow and difficult process. Due to the different market demands
amongst EU countries and considering the size of the European market, it is
challenging to get an understanding of the various workforce issues that
hospitals face in the current climate. It’s also difficult to understand what
existing technologies are in place to help solve these issues. Furthermore,
there are a variety of factors to consider around market entry when you are
attempting to expand into Europe.

CliniShift is a software suite including a Managers Portal & App providing a
platform to enable hospital Managers communicate in real-time with their
own staff to seamlessly book overtime hours & contingency shifts. The
CliniShift software reduces the over reliance on external agency staff
allowing hospitals to reduce costs, ensure continuity of care for patients
while automating a manual process.

points
“How important it is to carry out market research which involves
speaking to potential customers, getting in front of the right internal
stakeholders in a hospital, hearing about their problems when managing
their workforce, understanding what they need from a piece of
technology, coming away with an action plan to progress your initial
discussion”.

8. mDurance: From zero to hero
eHealth HUB is a kind of support that makes you focus on your improvement
areas and saves considerable amounts of time by telling you which those
areas are (sometimes you just don’t know). As they have sector-specific
experience, they know the common mistakes.

Lean Startup Academy Madrid (Spain) [March 2018]. “I learnt how to test
my ideas with real customers. We have validated some of our previous
thoughts, but we have also made some modifications and targeted our
efforts to those customers that we can monetize better”.
eHealth Roadshow at Spanish Congress of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation in Gijón (Spain) [May 2018]. “The Roadshow managed to
get us in the same room with key stakeholders in rehabilitation, many of
them being potential customers and/or prescribers. Afterwards, we
conducted a live demo in the National Hospital for Paraplegics, we closed a
deal with an insurance company, we were included by the Navarra Health
System in the Plan for Functional Capacity Improvement as one of the
potential solutions to measure patients’ results”.
• Young company
• Profile mainly technical (engineering) and no in-depth knowledge of the
eHealth sector
• Looking for the first customers to validate the solution
• Developing a solid value proposition and a sound business model

had to check that, as stupid as it sounds”.

mDurance is an innovative digital health tool that speeds up the analysis of
health and muscle performance. This technology allows to get a report on

injuries.

leaders.”
eHealth Roadshow - Hospital CIO's meet Innovators at HIMSS Liège 2019
(Belgium) [April 2019] “And there we were, presenting to key
decisionmakers in technology and innovation adoption in some of
Europe’s most prominent hospitals, some of which we are now starting to
work with in improving patient follow-up and outcomes analytics.”
• Lack of corporate-level management experience from founders
• Creating a business model in an industry in transformation – vision for the
future that is still “sellable” today
• Developing a business model & technology scalable globally
• Looking for customers to validate our business model across different

Patients use Promptly to truly cope with their diseases, to understand and
anticipate how they will feel after each treatment, medication or surgery, and
to be part of a community of patients that relate to their symptoms and share
their fears, expectations and health outcomes. Health Providers, such as
hospitals and insurances, use Promptly to improve the care they deliver to
patients, by following-up their outcomes after each treatment.

VII eHealth Roadshow [Cascais, July 2018]. “The event was more
international than we expected, and we met new interesting contacts during
the roadshow. This helped us a lot to broaden our network in Spain and
Portugal especially.
The possibility to have a pitch about our assessment tools was really great
as it is a good way of informing and convincing experts about our solution.”
The eHealth Hub team was a great help prior , during and after the event, as
they have provided us with detailled information in preparation to our event.
The guide on “How to Effectively Pitch to Commercialize your eHealth
Solution” was definitely worth a look as well!
Our main goal before the eHealth Roadshow was to get in contact with
possible future clients in the field of social health technologies in Spain and
Portugal. As we are already present in many European countries and some
communities in Spain, Portugal for example was a new market for us. Thus,
we mainly participated in the congress in Cascais. To be in the same room
as experts from all over the world and to exchange experiences and
knowledge was really benefitting for Raisoft.
