1. Truth in Advertising & Other Contradictions, 2009
Mixed media
Have you ever thought about how you are a living, moving, and seeing target?
From the moment you open your eyes in the morning until you close them at night, you
are a target for messages. They come from everywhere! Think of ways the advertisers
try to convince you to think something or to do things a certain way.
This book is organized into two volumes—Volume I focuses on ads on the internet,
video games, and television; while Volume II focuses on newspapers and magazines.
Each book deconstructs advertisements by taking them apart to understand how they
persuade us through words and images.
