The Lafitte Corridor Revitalization Project aims to convert an abandoned rail corridor into a continuous greenway and spur economic development. Funding has been secured from various sources to support trail planning, design, and implementation. Community organizations are advocating for the greenway's completion to improve transportation access, public health, and redevelopment in the area.
