2. Wieliczka is a Polish salt mine.
It was established in 1290. The
Wieliczka mine has as many as
2391 chambers and over 245
kilometers of sidewalks. So
many excavations were
created near Wieliczka for over
700 years of salt deposit
exploitation. 26 mining shafts
(6 still active today) and 180
inter-level shafts were drilled
from the surface to the
underground.
3. Nearly 3 kilometers of winding
corridors, 800 stairs to
overcome and descent to a
depth of 135 meters
underground await you in
Wieliczka. All this is
surrounded by a magical
climate accompanying the
entire route.
4. Underground there is a
health resort, which is
why patients from
different regions of the
world come here.
Despite the fact that we
are below the surface,
we can count on
phenomenal views. Salt
and wooden chapels, or
saline lakes, look like
from a fairy tale.
5. There are legends told in the form of beautiful presentations and
animations on the water!
