It is now almost exactly a year since I made my first 360in360 transmedia story, combining the use of 360 degree video, images, storytelling and social media to celebrate and share the experience of a day trip to the Learning Technoloigies Show at Olympia in London. I recorded a series of 360 videos and images on my first 360 degree camera, the Ricoh Theta S along with some narration to describe my journey from Milton Keynes Station to London Euston and then by tube to Hyde Park Corner and the walk along Knightsbridge and Kensington to Olympia. I wanted to capture and share the journey, places and some of the people I interviewed in Olympia. I subsequently edited my videos in Cyberlink PowerDirector, published them on YouTube and created a transmedia story in Linkedin. In this way, on February 2nd 2017, the foundations for 360in360 Immersive Experiences were laid.
Since that first set of videos, I have recorded and published hundreds of videos and images from locations around the world to a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube and VeerTV. In just a year, I have seen some quite dramatic improvements in the technologies and publishing tools and have identified a myriad of application areas where 360 degree technologies can be used very effectively to celebrate, share and promote extraordinary people, places and experiences and created the www.360in360ix.co.uk web site to illustrate some of these application areas.
It is these improvements and developments that have convinced me that the time is right to focus all my energy into creating a sustainable ecosystem of win-win partnerships aimed at positive societal transformation through the use of 360-degree videos, images, sounds and storytelling.

On Monday January 29th, at its inaugural meeting, the RSA Heritage Network was launched, just a few days after I had
been involved in an “Active Ageing Alliance” meeting in Brussels to discuss a funding bid around the innovative use of
digital technologies to support the silver economy and help leverage the skills and talents of older people.
It has long been my belief that the use of assistive technologies to foster independent living amongst older people,
whilst helping elderly people to manage their lives more easily, has been too focused on using technology to reduce
the societal cost burden of older people, rather than helping older people contribute to the Silver Economy.
I am a firm believer that the use of digital technologies for culture and heritage can lead to societal transformation ..

They are aimed at bringing multiple stakeholders of all ages together to help celebrate what makes each and every
