3. FUTURE WORKSPACE
This future world is what I call ‘Future Work’ rather than ‘Future Workspace’.
I realised that in the near future, people wouldn’t work at one space, but many different
places and spaces. They might be in a cafe, or even in transit.

jerk response, is the best recipe for making decisions.
What work will they be doing? I think they will be doing emotional work.
An early example of this is perhaps Amazon Mechanical Turk, where online workers carry
out tasks which machines can’t do such as describing a photo.

5. In this future work, gone are the days of management. There will be a focus on collaboration.
Older mentors assist a younger workforce. Work is decentralised. Why can this work?
Because the infrastructure is there and people can hot desk and use devices.

So in this situation, the older workers are having a hard time adjusting.
The aging population did start working longer, but in order to reduce stress, they worked
more flexible hours, started the mentor roles and worked in these closer roles.

programmable. When the works arrive at the main hub they sometimes have to get the
mentor to check their work. He trusts them but occasionally checks what they are up to.
