Pinterest recently unveiled business accounts. This document provides information about these changes & outlines the benefits they have to your business or clients.
3. Pinterest Business Pages
— Pinterest has just introduced Business Pages.
What does this mean?
— For businesses who already have existing accounts, you are
able to easily migrate over to a business account.
— For new business signups, you only need to enter your
business name to register.
4. New Pinterest Business Terms of Service
— There are now specific terms of service for businesses setting
up a Pinterest Business account:
— You can only open an account on behalf of a company that you're,
well, allowed to open an account on behalf of.
— The content you post on Pinterest can be used by other Pinterest
users. That means they can not only re-pin it, but they can also
modify it, reproduce it, display it, distribute it, on Pinterest.
— Pinterest expects that any content you post from third-party content
creators and owners doesn't violate any laws or infringe the third
party's rights.
— Full Terms of Service available here.
5. WHY SHOULD I HAVE A
BUSINESS PAGE?
1) Verify your website
2) Access New Business Tools
3) Access New Resources
6. 1) Verify your website
— Businesses are now able to verify their website using a hidden
line of code.
— Once verified, a verification badge will appear on the Pinterest
profile page.
7. 2) Access New Business Tools
— ‘Pin It’ and ‘Follow’ buttons, which can be added to your
website.
— Embed a Profile Widget.
— Embed a Board Widget that displays 30 of your latest pins in
an iFrame that links to your business page.
8. 3) Access New Resources
— Access to upcoming features and updates on future products
and services.
— Information on successful case studies of brands and
businesses using Pinterest.
