Conclusions: This study demonstrates a negative
impact of postoperative morbidity on the long-term
outcome after liver resection for MCRC, which is
particularly pronounced in patients with lower risk
disease. Further efforts to refine surgical technique
and postoperative management to avoid complications
can improve the long-term oncological outcomes of
the selected patients
