Experiment A (Burning Magnesium):
Magnesium + Oxygen  Magnesium Oxide
When anything burns it takes in Oxygen from
the air.
Conclusions
• Looking back at the three experiments we have
done, we can say that:
Chemical reactions have the following things in
common:
– They produce new substances
– They involve a change in temperature
– They involve a change in appearance
