3. Setting
• The village is located in the north-east of the county, at the border with
the county of Braila, on the left bank of the river basin, a tributary of the
Ialomita, forming the municipality Lake Bowl. DN21 national road passing
through the village, linking the Bărăganul Ţăndărei (Braila County, where
it ends in DN21). Murgeanca near the village, the road branches off from
DJ203F county road that leads west to spark (which intersects DN21) and
Griviţa (which ends in DN2C). The commune is crossed, along the
national road, rail and Făurei-Ţăndărei-Fetesti, which is served by Station
Murgeanca.
4. Demography
• According to the census conducted in 2011, Ciorii Valley village
population amounts to 1,855 inhabitants, down from the previous
census in 2002, when 2,017 people had registered. Most inhabitants
are Romanian (97.52%). For 2.37% of the population, ethnicity is
not known. In terms of religious, most people are Orthodox
(97.41%). For 2.37% of the population is not known confessional.

5. History
• At the end of the nineteenth century, the village was named
Murgeanca, was part of place-Balta Ialomita County Ialomita and
consisted of villages Murgeanca, Dumitreşti and wandering, with a
total population of 1249 inhabitants. The joint venture operated a
school with 38 students (including 13 girls) and a church. Socec
1925 Yearbook recorded in net Murgeanca common Ţăndărei same
county, with a population of 1821 inhabitants in the villages
Murgeanca, Dumitreşti, bush and Ciorii Valley. Commune took the
Valley Ciorii in 1931, after the new residence.
In 1950, it was transferred Slobozia district of Ialomita region and
then (after 1952) in the Bucharest. In 1968, she returned to Ialomita
county reinstated.
