• The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC)
  is an independent, non-governmental body.
Where they have classified cinema films since
1912, videos/DVDs and some video games
  since 1984.
• All classification decisions are based on our
regularly updated Guidelines, which are the product
of extensive public consultation, research and the
accumulated experience of the BBFC over many
  years.
• Everyone is welcome to take part in the Guidelines
consultation, which takes place every four years.
• In the most recent consultation, we sought the views
of over 8,700 members of the public on classification
including issues such as language, discrimination,
violence, sex and drugs in films.
Based on our production we have decided to classify our as a 15 as in order to
classify a film 15 certificate its most likely warrant would be:
• The work as a whole must not endorse discriminatory language or behaviour.
• Strong threat and menace are permitted unless sadistic or sexualised.
• Dangerous behaviour (for example, hanging, suicide and self-harming) can be
allowed provided the detail of such is low so that it can not create too much of
an impression of the viewer. Abuse of weapons which are easily obtained will
    not be
• Frequent use of strong language can be permitted, although very strong
language needs to be restricted and would have to be seen as reasonable in the
    context.
• Nudity in a sexual content must be restricted however nudity in a non-sexual
    content does not.
• Some strong sexual references may be allowed to, but very strong ones may
not, unless used within reason. Sexual acts or references with the intention of
causing arousal is not likely to be permitted.
