This study aims to identify the impacts of integrating social media in language teaching and learning among Sri Lankan university students. It hypothesizes that there is a relationship between using social media and its impact on teaching and learning language, mediated by students' perceptions and viewing social media as a learning tool. A quantitative approach will be used, collecting data through a questionnaire distributed to 50 undergraduates to understand their perspectives and the role of social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in facilitating language acquisition. The findings could help evaluate social media's role in education and improve language teaching practices with technology.
