3. This project is a collaborative effort of two important advocacy groups – 21 Century School Fund (21CSF) and SHAPPE (Senior High Alliance of Parents, Principals and Educators), Cardozo Senior High School teachers and students, parents, and community members.
4. 21 Century School Fund (21CSF) and SHAPPE (Senior High Alliance of Parents, Principals, and Educators) have partnered together to identify policy and practice reforms that connect schools and communities in order for communities to participate in making and sustaining better schools and schools to contribute to the health and quality of the neighborhood.

This project is funded by a new education centered community development initiative of the Capital One Foundation. 21CSF and SHAPPE are piloting this work in three DC public high schools, including Cardozo. 21CSF and SHAPPE are working to support staff and community members at Cardozo high school with educational facility and grounds planning, particularly their campus greening and with helping to plan and develop a parent/community resource center.
