8. Food is great, isn’t it?
Oh, did I make a mess?
Is the pillow dirty?
Mom, I have some on
my clothes and in my lap
as well. It just landed
everywhere.

10. Why is it important to buy a safe high chair?
Falls cause the most common injuries to small
children – and high chairs and changing tables are
involved frequently.
In Sweden around 800 children are injured every
year in accidents involving high chairs.
20% are hurt so severely that hospital treatment is
needed.
The children are between 0-3 years old, and the
part that they hurt is the head.*
Either the children stand up, or try to climb out,
but lose their balance and fall out.
Or the children put their feet on the edge of the
table and push themselves backwards. The chair
tilts and falls down backwards with the child sitting
in it.

11. Why does this happen?
Traditional high chairs have very large seats just to
make it easy to slide a child into the chair.
Whatever the recommendations are from chair
manufacturers, a lot of parents put their 4 month
old in a high chair for feeding.
A large seat hole enables a child to stand up in the
high chair.
Some manufacturers have their starting point from
a grown up chair, and just add a babyseat to it, to
enable the child to sit.
And to make them sit down, they add a harness.
Parents however forget to put the harness on, or
it’s not adjusted correctly to the child’s waist or the
child hates to be restricted, so the parent stops
using the harness.
12. How do we solve this?
Since the risk of accidents is most common up to the age
of 3, we have focused on developing a product which
solves this problem.
The BabyBjörn High Chair has an integrated, foldable
table, which works as both a table and a restraint
system. It is adjusted snugly against the child and keeps
the child seated. As the child’s belly grows the table is
adjusted.
The high chair is designed to fit the baby’s size and
needs. It has an ergonomic fit in the seat, which easily
enables the child to sit upright. There is good support all
around the body and elbow support against the table.
As we always start with the family’s needs, we also made
it very easy to wipe clean. There is no gap for food to fall
down in the lap, as the table is adjusted close to the
child.
13. What do consumers say?
This is a product well worth the money!
It was assembled in minutes and my 4 1/2 month
old daughter was having lunch in it that same day
and she loved it.
It was very easy to clean and stores away easily.
14. What do consumers say?
These were our first high chairs for our
six month old twins.
The highchair is really secure and very stable.
Fabulously easy to clean, easy to use and great
for meal times. All smooth edges so no places
for food to gather.
In fact they are so wonderful we just took them
for a two week holiday to Wales - I could not
face two weeks without them - so they got
folded up and shoved in back of my Ford Fiesta!
15. What do consumers say?
My 7 month old baby loves it.
She really sits up correctly with this chair, all
that I tried before were too big for her.
The table has 3 positions so as the baby grows
the chair adapts to the baby.
Very easy to clean, quite small compared to
the others in the market
You can fold it and store it in any corner of
the room as it is very stylish.
Very safe for babies as it couldn't be any
other way for BabyBjorn.
I have several products from this house and
they are all simply great, clever and stylish.
