SAP NetWeaver is SAP's integrated technology platform and is the technical foundation for all SAP
applications since the SAP Business Suite. SAP NetWeaver is marketed as a service-orientedapplication and
integration platform. SAPNetWeaver provides the development and runtime environment for SAP
applications and can be used for custom development and integration with other applications and systems

The core products that make up SAP NetWeaver include:
• SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence
• SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment (CE)
• SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal (EP)
• SAP NetWeaver Application Server
• SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management (MDM)
• SAP NetWeaver Mobile
• SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI)
Minimum hardware & software requirement is
• HDD- 80GB
• RAM-2GB
• OS- WIN2003(server), vista, win7, win2008(server).
Step1: First, you need to set the paging file,
mycomputer(right click)--> properties--> advanced—-> change settings—->
step2: install JAVA and set the path in environmental variable.
mycomputer(right click)--> properties-->environmental variable
step3: Install oracle structure.
Step4 :click on sapinst.exe for prerequiste check, if there are no errors or warning continue with
installation.

2. 1. In parameter mode
click on custom.
2. Then select the
software units-
JAVA and ABAP.
3. In software package
request give the java
component.
4. Give the path of
JAVA.
5. Give the JCE policy
archive file.
6. Give the following
parameters
SAPSID, and the
insatllation drive,
and select unicode.

this into domain
so we have not
selected.
8. Give the master
password.
9. give the database
parameters.
10. give the NW
exports.
11. Its takes the
database
parameters.

4. 12. Give the location for
Redolog and oracle
archives.
13. Automatically
listener port will be
generated.

5. 14. give the path for Kernel
and oracle client.

6. 15. deselect the
cryptographic
library and also
NWDI landscape.
16. Local SLD
paramater will be
taken as default.

7. 17. OS user parameters
will be taken as
default for JAVA
applications.
Proceed to the next step for netweaver installation.
During installation, oracle patch need to installed as follows.
1. The oracle services need to be down before upgrading the patch, the services are
• oracle<SID>homeisqlplus.
• oracle<SID>homeTNSListner.
• oracleservice<SID>
2. Now, goto cmd prompt,
• sqlplus /nolog
• connect /as sysdba
• startup upgrade
• @ORACLE_BASEORACLE_HOMErdbmsadmincatalog.sql
• @ORACLE_BASEORACLE_HOMErdbmsadmincatupgrd.sql
• shutdown
• startup
• @ORACLE_BASEORACLE_HOMErdbmsadminutlrp.sql
Then the installation is continued.
