2. Globalization is an economic phenomenon for which
the whole world should be a single market.
And it indicates:
• The abolition of trade barriers: the increase in
the volume of international trade and the growth
of economic integration between countries;
3. • ECONOMIC GLOBALIZATION:
it consists of the growth of multinational corporations
(that working in multiple nations) that are often built in
third world countries because labor costs are lower.
• CULTURAL GLOBALIZATION:
It consists in knowing and living other cultures
and religions.
4. • TECHNOLOGICAL AND SCIENTIFIC
GLOBALIZATION:
brings media around the world and thanks to them we
know what's going on in distant lands
•GEOPOLIC GLOBALIZATION:
It consists in controlling politics in all nations. If a nation
behaves badly with its own citizens or with other
nations, other nations may intervene.
5. Since ancient times, men have
been trying to create markets
that include
ever-larger regions. At first it
applied to a group, then to a
village, then to a city, then to a
state ...
For example:
• The Roman Empire created an
exchange-centered area on the
Mediterranean;
• The Maritime Republics favored
the movement of goods between
Europe and the Arab Orient;
Globalization grew between
1840 and 1914, thanks to the
development of new
technologies such as
steamships, railways and
telegraphs. Since the 1970s
there has been the
liberalization of world trade,
through international
agreements and institutions
such as the GATT and the
WTO with the aim of
abolishing the barriers of
international trade
6. • The ability to travel around the world
more easily, shortening distances;
• Internet, that through messaging
improves world-wide communication
methods;
• You can talk face-to-face with a remote
person using your computer's
webcam;
• Ease in the money transaction: so
investors have the opportunity to invest
their own funds abroad too.
7. Now there is no longer a taste to discover a
different world from ours. All the reality
around us is a "homologation" that is, every
aspect of life is inspired by a similar pattern
for everyone.
For example:
• A fashion launched in the clothing industry
is valid in Rome as well as in San
Francisco, USA ...
Until the 1950s, 6000 languages were spoken on
Earth, and today they are not even 3000 and it is the
English language that gains more and more the title of
international language.
8. The eight most industrialized countries in the
world (USA, Great Britain, France, Germany,
Japan, Italy, Canada and Russia) come
together to discuss the problems of the
world economy. Their decisions depend on
the economic destiny of all the inhabitants
of the world. Their primary goal is to
protect the interests of rich economies, and
the states often forget the interests of those
who are disadvantaged.
9. Somebody claims against the
globalization that the peoples of the
world are subjected to by some
privileged people who were making
great gains from it. "The various
protests in this regard gave rise to an
international movement (against the
G8) called the NO-GLOBAL
movement
